The international crew at Interaction 2012 approached me to design the look and feel for their conference which was being held for the first time outside the US in Dublin. An amazing achievement to win the hosting of the conference for Ireland and it was an honour to be asked to design the conference branding.
The guys had a very firm brief and they wanted to capture the anology of building bridges internationally. As the conference was held in The Convention Centre, beside the iconic Samuel Beckett bridge, it was an obvious choice for the illustration. The feeling of distance was achieved though the use of strong lines and city tags. I wanted the branding to be colourful yet sophsicitated and I feet the resulting illustration and clean lined website captures this aim.
With a team of support designers on board, I then templated my illustrative treatment across all branding for the conference from print elements such as Brochures, Stage Banners, Scrims, Brochures, Ticket Badges and pull up Banners to digital elements such as the Screen Projections and Digital Signage. I led the design team in rolling out all required touchpoints and ensured that all elements were proof perfect before being sent to print. I also ensured all digital elements were delivered to the various stakeholders for implementation. It was wonderful to see all the branding applied and the conference managed to maintain branding presence in all the various venues from the Convention Centre to Trinity Dining Hall to The Store House.
